We are part of the worldwide Anglican family

Saint Jude Anglican Mission is a local mission with a wider Anglican family. We are planted here in our own community, yet we are not standing alone. Our life and ministry are connected to a broader fellowship of churches, clergy, bishops, and mission communities who share in the worship, prayer, sacramental life, and missionary calling of the Anglican tradition.

Saint Jude Anglican Mission is part of Missio Mosaic, a missionary movement shaped by the ancient faith of the Church and the call to live that faith in the midst of everyday life.

Missio Mosaic describes its vision through the Celtic missionary spirit, seeing each church as a kind of monastic outpost in the middle of the culture. This image speaks strongly to who we are at Saint Jude. We are not simply a Sunday gathering or a religious organization. We are a prayerful community called to live as a sign of Christ’s presence in ordinary life.

Like a small monastic outpost, Saint Jude seeks to be a place of worship, prayer, hospitality, Scripture, peace, and shared discipleship. We gather to be formed by Christ, and then we are sent back into the world with grace, courage, and love. Our faith is not meant to be hidden away from daily life. It is meant to be lived in homes, neighborhoods, workplaces, friendships, and acts of mercy.

Missio Mosaic reminds us that mission is not only something the Church does. Mission is part of who the Church is. Each pastor, church, and person has a vocation, a calling from God, to bear witness to the Gospel in real and tangible ways. Saint Jude shares in that calling as a small, faithful Anglican mission rooted in prayer and open to the movement of the Holy Spirit.

Saint Jude Anglican Mission is also part of the Anglican Diocese of Kagera, Tanzania's extended mission. This relationship reminds us that Anglicanism is not limited to one nation, one culture, or one style of church life. We are part of a living Christian family that stretches across the world.

Our connection with the Diocese of Kagera joins us to the faith, prayer, worship, and mission of Anglican Christians in East Africa. It also reminds us that the Church is larger than what we see locally. When we gather for worship at Saint Jude, we do so as part of a worldwide communion of believers who are praying, serving, preaching, baptizing, celebrating the Eucharist, and following Christ in many places and many languages.

This connection gives Saint Jude a wider sense of fellowship and responsibility. We are a small mission, but we belong to something much larger than ourselves. We share in the common life of the Church across cultures and continents, united by faith in Jesus Christ and by the ancient patterns of Anglican worship and mission.

Saint Jude Anglican Mission stands within the life of the worldwide Anglican Communion, a global family of churches rooted in Scripture, sacramental worship, historic Christian faith, and the mission of God in the world.

Anglican Christianity holds together ancient tradition and missionary life. We worship with prayers shaped by centuries of Christian devotion. We read Scripture as the living Word of God. We celebrate the sacraments as gifts of grace. We seek to follow Jesus Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit. And we do this not as isolated individuals, but as part of the one Body of Christ.

To be Anglican is to be both rooted and sent. We are rooted in the faith once delivered to the saints, and we are sent into the world to love, serve, pray, and bear witness to the Kingdom of God.

For Saint Jude, this means our small mission has a wide horizon. We are local in our worship and pastoral care, but connected to Christians around the world. We are small enough for every person to be known, yet joined to a communion much greater than ourselves.
