A Service of Healing and Eucharist
In partnership with Faith Lutheran Church, our community offers an “all denominational” healing service on the third Wednesday of every month at noon.
A healing service is a deeply spiritual and enriching experience that combines ancient traditions and prayers to address both physical and spiritual needs. The service features sacred rituals such as the laying on of hands, anointing with oil, and the celebration of the Eucharist. It begins with prayers and scripture readings that emphasize God's healing power, followed by a Litany of Healing where those in attendance may name those in need of prayer. The atmosphere is serene and reverent, creating a sacred space conducive to reflection and spiritual growth.
The primary purpose of the healing service is to offer holistic healing, strengthen faith, and embody God's compassion. It serves to provide comfort, hope, and restoration through prayer, scripture, and sacrament, fostering a sense of community and mutual support. The Eucharist, as the culmination of the service, symbolizes Christ's sacrifice and love, offering spiritual nourishment and unity with God and the community. By participating in this service, individuals experience God's grace and mercy in a profound and personal way while also reinforcing the importance of community in the healing process.
